…And Here’s a rundown of what we’re doing each day

Day 1: Design

After we talk through all the steps in screen print, everyone gets busy working on their own design, using any preferred medium or style. These are the designs that we’ll print to textile on Thursday. Additonally, we work on our collaborative design, which we print on Friday.

Day 2: Prep to print

This is the crucial step where we clean up and refine our designs in Photoshop to make sure they are properly sized and ready to be exposed to the silk screens.
Also, we prepare the screens with photo-emulsion so they are nice and dry for Wednesday. Wear work clothes today — that photo-emulsion can be a real mess!

Day 3: Exposure

We’ll be exposing the photo-sensitive screens and rinsing them out to bring your designs onto the screens.

Day 4: Textile Print

Thursday’s the money-shop: you’ll print your design on a few totebags — and anything else you might bring in.

Day 5: Poster Print

On Friday we’ll print a multi-color A3 poster, its design one we collaborated on all together. This is also our certificate of participation for everyone who survived the whole week.
